Why is my game running slow/not loading/dropping connection?

There are a number of reasons why myVEGAS may run slowly or have trouble loading or staying connected. The most common cause is running too many programs at the same time or playing myVEGAS on an older computer with limited amount of RAM, or system memory, or an older mobile device.

myVEGAS employs a lot of dynamic content and game animations. As a result, it requires a good amount of RAM to run smoothly. Close open programs you're not actively using. Clear your web browser's cache. Or upgrade your system or mobile device to see better performance. We recommend the following Minimum System Requirements:

  • Intel Core Duo 1.33GHz or faster (or equivalent)
  • RAM 2 GB
  • Operating Systems: Mac OS X v10.4 or later
  • Adobe® Flash® Player 11.1
  • iPad 2 or greater
  • iPhone 4 (with iOS 7+) or greater

  • Intel Pentium 4, 2.33 + GHz (or equivalent)
  • RAM 2 GB
  • Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Vista and Windows 7
  • Adobe® Flash® Player 11.1

  1. The first thing to try is quitting some of the other programs that your computer is currently running. All running programs use and compete for system memory. Closing other applications will free up more resources for Facebook and myVEGAS.
  2. The next thing to try is clearing the web browsers cache. Detailed instructions for most browsers can be found here: http://myveg.as/clear-the-cache
  3. If you are not running a lot of other programs at the same time, and still having problems, you may have an older computer or a small amount of RAM. Upgrading your computer's RAM is usually the most cost effective way to boost system performance. RAM is fairly inexpensive and is often easy to install yourself. Search online for good deals and installation instructions.
